Do you know that a season is a special period, accompanied by purpose, power, and provision…or a lack of purpose, power, and provision. You have experienced seasons where you felt like you were living in your purpose, you were empowered to succeed, and the provision was flowing. It seemed like everything was going right. You have also experienced seasons where there didn’t seem to be a lot of purpose, there was very little power flowing in your life, money was “tight,” and everything seemed to be going wrong.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecc 3:11).

  • Every season has struggles with it ,these struggles you cannot see from outside. I hope this set you free from envy.
  • There’s an activation for every season:
  1. Abraham has to move from Haran to Ur of Chealdean Gen 11:27-32 ; Gen 12:1-7;
  2. Jacob has to leave Padanaram to  Bethel ; Gen 35:1-15; Gen 32: 22-25;  He had a visitation at the middle of n where and was blessed – Gen 28:11-19. He called that place Bethel instead of Luz . This means you can rename a situation you are in to reap a promise. After 21 years later (Gen 35) Jacob went back to Bethel where God meet him in the middle of nowhere.
  3. Bethel is a place of REMEMBRANCE – Bible always says remember-your God, His testimonies, think of the goodness of Jesus. That place where God meet you at your zero hour and turned it to hero hour is your Bethel. Surely the Lord is in this place! Bethel is a place of REVELATION (Gen 35 vs 3) ,God with us Emmanuel. God shows up in the middle of NOWHERE it becomes He is NOW HERE!!!!
  4. Bethel is also a place of RESPONSE. Jacob made a vow Gen28:22 (tithe and offering). First time he went to bethel he was running away from Essau, Second time he has passed through Bethel ,he has now been thought of God through Leban , through the wrestling angel and through his settling with his brother .Jacob built an alter to  God in the second time ,a time of surrender- because God has thought him by then and he simply responded. (Gen 35:14). These seasons or periods destroy our pride in our own ability, and they reinforce our dependency and our sufficiency in God’s ability. Remember it is OUR RESPONSE to God’s Ability that forms responsibility.

  • Every season is shaped by what you see and say (your season takes the characteristics of your description of it). You can control your season by what you say. (Let the prophet declare what they see-Isaiah 21:6. Jeremiah 1:12 “Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”

  1. Genesis 15:5-6 5And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 6Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.  Genesis 15:5-6
  2. Ezekiel 37:7  “So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone”
  3. The good news is that we are already in a new season. Glory to God!

  • Every season has strength you can seize therein, there’s grace and favour, in every season Why not tap into these divine resources and take the leap for exploits.
  1. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
  2. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God:I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
  3. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Isaiah 40:29
  4. But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Psalm 59:16
  • We must have the patience to trust God’s timing.
  1. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9
  2. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14
  3. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5
  • It is our perspective on the season that either makes it enjoyable or miserable.
  1. Genesis 50:20″ 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive
  2. Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
  3. Job 13:15 Job 19:25-29 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
  4. 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
  5. Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation
  6. Phil 1:6 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  7. Rom 8:28 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
  • It is our perspective on the season that either makes it enjoyable or miserable. What do you make of that season you are in. There must be a vision that you are passionate about that would bring stability and focus during the transition. Abraham saw the vision of the stars (father of multitude of nations as a pointer to where God is taking him. Saul’s encounter on the way to Damascus left him with perspective that grace was sufficient in the assignment that He never forgot the heavenly vision even before king Agrippa in trials against all odds.
  1. Isaiah 43:19: See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.·
  2. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens Eccl 3:1 God is a God of ORDER! He does everything by appointment.
  3. Hab 2:3-3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
  • Seasons don’t last forever:  Joseph as a prime minister in Egypt  had 7 years of plenty & 7 years of lack. God changes Time and Seasons (READ Daniel 2:20), God schedules every season, but Life is experienced in seasons!· From eternity God has a purpose at work but we always want to skip to the next season by often saying  If I were richer, if I will marry, If I’m able to study, get my dream job , get this or do that…
  1. “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9).

Your seasons change. They are not permanent. Some seasons even reoccur.

The current season you are in is going to change. You should be constantly asking yourself the question, “What is ABOUT to change?” You must live in today, but think into tomorrow. Anticipate what is going to be changing a year from now and start preparing for it.

  • God SPEAKS in Season to our life
  1. Psalm 85:8″I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.”
  2. “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”  (Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJ)   “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season..”
  3.  (Psalm 145:15 NKJV)  “…a word spoken in due season, how good is it!  (Proverbs 15:23 KJ)  “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
  4. (Galatians 6:9 KJ). A circumcised ear and heart and a yielding spirit are needed to ignite your spiritual antenna to hear what God id saying in the season.
  • To Every Season There is a Reason. There is a reason why a season has come. It could be a season of warfare because your breakthrough is on the horizon. You could be in a season of reaping tremendous levels of success resulting from long seasons of preparation and education. You could be in a season of testing to determine if you qualify for promotion. There is a reason why this season has come. Pray for the ability to discern the times and seasons, and the wisdom to know what to do in every season

What season are you in?

Your ability to discern your season gives you the desired victory.

Do you know what season you’re in right now? You must discern what season you’re in right now so you know how to flow with what’s happening in your life. Are you in a season where everything seems to be going crazy? You must discern if this season of chaos is a season of developing the warrior within. If that’s the case, you have to pull together your weapons, get in your war posture, and fight your way out of that season.

Are you in a season where an unusual amount of money is flowing? If so, that’s great! Let me advise you to use this season to prepare for a future season of scarcity.

  1. What season are you currently in? What do you need to do as a result of being in this season?  Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
  2. And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. 1 Chronicles 12:32. Their discerning ability of seasons put them in command!

My you receive the grace to discern and manage the season you are in – in the name of Jesus name.
